License evidence Interpretation limitsBiofilms from 12 healthy donors grown in vitro are not a clinical prevention trial. Changes in pH, lactate and relative abundance do not demonstrate fewer cavities, less periodontitis or systemic benefits in patients. Nitrate is a candidate for investigation, not a validated replacement for oral hygiene or professional care.
