Parenting and AI
Human values. Intelligent tools. Growing families.
One hundred licensed readings on parenting, children and artificial intelligence, organized as 20 readings for each TRICK value. Generative AI, earlier agents and social robots remain distinct, with evidence scope and limitations visible.
An evidence map for family life
Keep human values
in view.
What should a family trust? Whose privacy and voice matter? How can children build judgment, work with others and care for people as AI becomes part of everyday life?
This issue brings together empirical studies, evidence syntheses and substantive design or ethical analyses. “Impactful” describes editorial relevance and the questions a reading helps examine; it is not a citation ranking or a promise of benefit.
Read the age group, setting, system type, methods and follow-up before drawing conclusions for your family. Earlier robots and voice agents offer context for today’s questions; their findings do not establish the effects of modern generative AI.
Know what each reading studies

- Child-facing evidence41

- Family implications27
- Design, ethics, stakeholder or technical evidence with child/family implications; household benefits are not assumed.
Each article appears once in this issue and has one primary TRICK home. A clear label identifies the AI system and the evidence’s applicability.
